Matte Kitchen - Issaquah - 2018
Stunning, Contemporary, Waterfront Remodel. The first thing we realized when walking into this beautiful home was the “show stopper” waterfront view. It was clear that we needed to make this the focal point and our clients backed our vision by letting us pivot the floor plan by changing the location of the fireplace. This would elongate the living area while creating an impressive statement, using a rich colored accent wall, textural, stacked stone full of warmth and depth in a room that had high ceilings.
The living and dining rooms originally felt divided because of different flooring materials, so we extended the Ipe flooring and removed the living room passage doors to make it feel more cohesive and spacious. The waterfall Caesarstone edge countertops also created additional clean lines in the kitchen. We saw the perfect opportunity to bring the outdoors in, by adding Nana doors and a pass-through window, expanding and enriching the view from the kitchen and living room. The sculpted and mirrored backsplash tile, because of its profile, became a huge statement, incorporating elements of water, with hints of movement, motion and reflective qualities.
Highlighting this beautiful space were some modern touches: Hubbardton Forge Zephyr Chandelier, Eurofase Banderia Linear Pendant, Tech Lighting Mina Pendants, Elkay hammered mirror Stainless Steel bar sink, and a high-arch Grohe Toggle Sprayer Faucet.
